  • Widows Concerns is an African based nonprofit organization fighting against inhuman treatment against African widows. We have been in the forefront of campain for the welfare of African widows and their siblings. WCO is working to reduce the rate at which widows in Africa and their children suffer. Widows Concerns Organization stands against oppression, victimisation, intimidation and brutalisation of African widows in the name of tradition and culture, helping them reclaim or recover possessions wrongfully taken away from them. We create platform for widows to speak out their hurts and plight, ensuring a better living for them.We also assist disadvantaged childen. In pursuance of this we do not only intervened in the affairs that aggravate these untold sufferings and hardship but ensure that our intervention is unexpected, prompt and timely.

  • Widows Concerns have positively touched the lives of over 200 women and children across 5 states in Nigeria, and working on more projects in Ghana and Benin Republic to better the standard of living of African widows. The recent Project Widows Welfare of Widows Concerns has been widely successful and commended by the general public. Women from different backgrounds have been given hope to live for tomorrow in knowing that someone cares. Aids, Supports and assurance were given to various widows in different local governments. Some are now able to go back to their petty trading and are doing real good, some are learning proffessional jobs and other hand works that could sustain their large families, while many children have started school and looking to the bright side of life with hope.
